Prof. Luis Garcia-Marcos is Professor of Paediatrics and Chair at the University of Murcia, and leads the research of the Pulmonology and Allergy Units at the "Arrixaca" Children’s University Hospital in Murcia (Spain). He also serves as vice-director of the Bio-Health Research Institute of Murcia (IMIB-Arrixaca). He obtained his degree in Medicine at the University of Valencia (Spain) and was trained as a paediatrician in his current hospital and in the London Hospital for Sick Children at Great Ormond st (UK). His PhD was issued by the University of Murcia. He has been research scholar at the Arizona Respiratory Center and the BIO5 Institute, University of Arizona, Tucson, (AZ, USA). He is also Associated Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Santiago (Chile). His main research interests are the epidemiology of allergic diseases, including asthma; and the lung function in infants. He served as a member of the steering and executive committees of the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) for the last 7 years and is currently a member of the steering committee of the Global Asthma Network (GAN). He is the editor of "Allergologia et Immunopathologia" since 2008; and has served in different Task Forces and Committees of the European Respiratory Society.

Professor Price is the Founder and Head of the Observational and Pragmatic Research Institute (OPRI) in Singapore, conducting real-life, pragmatic, and observational research, delivering clinical trials and database research across various regions, including the United States, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific area.

Additionally, Professor Price is the Head of Optimum Patient Care (OPC) Global in Australia and the UK, a social enterprise focused on disease registries and quality improvement in healthcare. He established the Optimum Patient Care Research Database (OPCRD), which holds data from over 1100 general practices and 27 million patients in the UK.

Professor Price leads the International Severe Asthma Registry (ISAR) and the Collaboration on Quality Improvement Initiative for Achieving Excellence in Standards of COPD Care (CONQUEST) registries. With over 970 peer-reviewed publications, an H-index of 125, Professor Price specializes in clinical trial design, exploring ways to improve adherence to treatment plans, and understanding patient attitudes towards respiratory diseases.
