Roger M. Pinder, PhD, DSc is an independent pharma consultant based in the city of York in the UK. He advises and consults worldwide to several pharmaceutical and venture capital organizations. He is founding editor of Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment and of the International Journal of Wine Research. He has served as president and secretary of the International Society for Affective Disorders (ISAD), and as treasurer and councillor of the International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP).
Educated in the UK and the USA at the universities of Hull and Virginia, Dr Pinder holds doctoral degrees in medicinal chemistry (PhD) and neuropsychopharmacology (DSc). He is a fellow of the British Pharmacological Society, the British Association for Psychopharmacology, the European (ECNP) and the International Colleges of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP), and of ISAD. His professional research interests include cardiovascular and CNS pharmacology and therapeutics, with a special emphasis on depressive disorders, anti-depressants and the health benefits of wine. He is a regular speaker and chair at international congresses, and has published five books and more than 250 review and research articles.
After a long career in R&D and medical affairs management in the international pharmaceutical industry, Dr Pinder was associated with a number of start-up pharmaceutical companies as chairman, board member, advisor and consultant.

Dr. Jun Chen is the director of the office for Clinical Research Center, Shanghai Mental Health Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SMHC). He is serving as a Board Member/Asia for the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD), Fellow for the Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists (PRCP), Secretary for the Chinese Society of Psychiatry (CSP), Vice Chairman for the Youth Committee of the CSP, and Committee member for the Chinese Psychiatrist Association (CPA).
Educated in China and USA, he received his M.D./Ph.D. degree in psychiatry at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2009. In 2010, he got the early-career psychiatrist research fellow funding from the World Psychiatric Association. After that, he worked and studied with Prof. Joseph R. Calabrese and Dr. Keming Gao in the Mood Disorders Program in Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine for one year. From 2014, Dr. Chen joined the APEC workshop to promote innovative collaborations in mental health, to work together with professionals from APEC.
Dr. Chen's research focuses on the phenomenon and treatment of bipolar disorder and treatment-resistant depression, which including clinical trial, cognition function and neuroimaging.

Dr. Kishi has been practicing at the Department of Psychiatry, Fujita Health University School of Medicine, Toyoake, Japan, since 2002. In 2010 and 2011, he spent two years as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Zucker Hillside Hospital in New York. Dr. Kishi is a Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, Fujita Health University School of Medicine. Dr. Kishi has been performing a series of clinical trials for the treatment of schizophrenia and mood disorder. His research focus is also evidence-based medicine in schizophrenia and mood disorder with a focus on meta-analyses. Moreover, he has a research interest in psychiatric genetics, pharmacogenetics, compliance enhancement strategies and medical decision making. He has authored/co-authored more than 240 articles.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar is a Fellow at the Mayo Clinic. He completed medical school at Goa Medical College, India, and gained a Mood fellowship at Mayo Clinic. He completed a M.D. Psychiatry Residency in India. He is a recipient of the Junior Colloquium Award from the American Psychiatric Association and a New Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. He is a member of the ASCP, CTMS, and NNDC. He is interested in the intervention psychiatry, neurobiology, and neuroimaging of mood disorders, novel treatments for mood disorders-especially NIBS- TMS, ketamine, and DBS -and investigating biomarkers to facilitate individualized treatment for treatment-resistant depression and Bipolar Disorder.
