Shay joined the organization in 2018 and was part of the Publishing Ethics & Research Integrity team for 7 years where he was instrumental in establishing and leading research integrity practices before moving to the Consulting Editor Manager role. As Consulting Editor Manager, Shay, leads a professional team and facilitates strategic communication with global stakeholders, maintains professional relationships with colleagues across multiple time zones, assesses and implements workflow improvements, while maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity to help foster academic transparency.

Shay holds a Masters in Cell & Molecular Bioscience and has interests in evolutionary biology. Prior to joining the organization, Shay spent 10 years working within the biotechnology industry before making the transition to academic publishing. With over two decades of experience spanning biotechnology, medical publishing, and scientific research, Shay brings a unique combination of scientific expertise and operational excellence to the academic publishing industry.
