Jessica Elferink received her Bachelor’s in Molecular and Cellular Biology and her Master’s in Microbial Biotechnology and Health from Leiden University, Netherlands. During her studies, Jessica’s research focused on antibiotic resistant to bacterial and fungal strains and finding new methods and compounds to target infection. After her studies she moved to New Zealand for a research project involving cellular biology and gut health at AgResearch Ltd. She has also previously worked at AsureQuality, the largest provider of food safety and biosecurity services in the Southern hemisphere.
